Another classic case of poor coordination between BBMP, BWSSB

Bengaluru:

In yet another incident, a resident of the city has brought to light the lack of coordination among the various departments responsible for the city’s infrastructure. Asphalted only a week ago, the Subramanya Main Road which falls in the jurisdiction of Ward 66, was dug up by the Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) to lay pipes.

Namitha Rao, took to Twitter with a video of workers digging out the road and said, “Suddenly the BWSSB remembered they forgot to lay one pipe across the road. Will the BBMP be tarring again now? Or will they let us suffer on a terrible main road again?”“I do not understand why the BWSSB and BBMP cannot coordinate and keep wasting taxpayers’ money.

Not even a single senior engineer of BWSSB or BBMP has visited the site. There is no notice at the site stating we are doing so and so work. I request strict action,” she continued and tagged the Twitter handle of the chairman of BWSSB. “Excellent example of poor coordination between the various parastatals that have really crippled the city.

Yet we continue to wait for the administration and government systems to rectify, despite elected representatives like Aravind Limbavali highlighting the issue,” tweeted Whitefield Rising, a citizen’s movement.
