Bengaluru: While several ruling BJP leaders in the city are already facing trouble after being spotted with a notorious rowdy sheeter, ‘Silent’ Sunil, fresh allegations have now engulfed BJP Minister V Somanna following a viral image showing another offender standing outside his residence here.

Alleged to have first surfaced on Wednesday night, the image showed ‘Wilson Garden Naga’ Nagaraj alias Naga, a notorious rowdy sheeter of Wilson Garden police station limits, standing outside Somanna’s residence along with his gang of 40–50 members near Vijayanagar.

Reacting to this, Minister V Somanna denied any knowledge about the offender being spotted near his residence. “I don’t know who this Naga is. I have never seen his face,” he said. He further said that many people visit his office daily and that he does not know many of them. “What will I do by meeting offenders? It is none of my concern,” he added.

Naga was declared absconding by the Bengaluru CCB personnel in a press release which was issued soon after the sleuths had raided around 86 houses in the city belonging to history sheeters. According to police, Naga has been accused in many criminal cases including murder, extortion and dacoity.

He had also served multiple jail terms and is still facing trial in many cases. In 2017, he was accused and arrested for being involved in the murder of a rival rowdy and history-sheeter, and also being involved in a gang war.
