After reports of two rape cases and one murder case of a woman in the last four days, the city police have taken up a case of sexual harassment against an unidentified person for allegedly demanding sexual favours from a woman here.

According to sources, the woman, a resident of an apartment near Konanakunte police station limits, woke up to the ringing doorbell and was surprised to find no one outside. However she found a letter dropped at her doorstep which contained lewd remarks.

“I can pay you Rs 50,000 if you are willing to give me a service. Please meet me at the apartment's basement," the letter allegedly stated.

The woman immediately met the Apartment Association members and later filed a complaint at the jurisdictional police station. Police told News Trail that the case is under investigation and the cops are trying to identify the accused.
